Classification procedures for tourist accommodation establishment:

1. These steps are:

• Draft and prepare registration dossiers to rank  tourist establishments.

• Apply dossiers to competent State agencies.

• Track dossiers’ result.

• Receive dossiers and notify the result to customer.

2. A registration dossier to rank tourist accommodation establishment consist of:

2.1. A registration dossier to rank tourist accommodation establishment in order to obtain the business standard in tourist accommodation, consist of:

a) An application to rank tourist accommodation establishment;

b) Table assesses the quality of tourist accommodation establishment, which was provided in National Standard for classification of types of tourist accommodation establishment;

c) List of managers and staffs in tourist accommodation establishment;

d) Copies which have legal value

• Business registration of tourist accommodation establishment, decision to establish the enterprise (if any);

• Diplomas, licenses, certificates of professional training and working time in the field of tourism for the manager;

• Written commitment or certificate of eligibility for order security and social safety;

• Certificate of eligibility on preventing fire and detonation;

• Certification of the environmental impact report or certified environmental protection commitment of the competent agencies;

• Certificate of eligibility for food hygiene and safety (for tourist accommodation establishment that provided catering services).

e) Receipts for payment of fees for evaluation of tourist accommodation establishment  according to current regulations.

2.2.  Registration dossier to rank from one to five stars or at the luxury level, in addition to documents specified in Clause 2.1, Section 2 above, extra lawful copies of dilopmats or certificates qualifications, foreign language of the head of  reception, room service, waiters/waitresses, bar, kitchen and guard. 

3. Competent agency

Competent agencies: Dossiers are received at Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism. For the registration dossier  to rank from three stars or higher, Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism will transfer to the General Administration of Tourism within 07 days from the date of receipt.

4.  Executive times

• Within 03 months after starting operations, tourist accommodation establishment must submit 02 registration dossiers  to Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to evaluate and rank according to current regulations. For registration dossiers of tourist accommodation establishment from 3 stars or higher, Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism have to send  one dossier to General Department of Tourism within seven working days after receiving the valid dossiers.

• Within 01 month for records under the rank of Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

• Within 02 months for the dossier under the rank of General Department of Tourism from the date of receipt.
